Why not mask authors too?

I have just a very short question as a suggestion.

I understand very well that reviewers prefer to be kept anonymous. Why not also mask authors when the editors send out the paper for reviewing?

Could this procedure help to ensure that the reviewing focuses only on the scientific content? I wonder.
