As mentioned in this article, TALC currently distributes free health educational materials on CD-ROM to developing countries as part of the e-TALC project. This was initiated in 2001 with a grant from the UK Department For International Development (DFID) and over 50,000 CD-ROM's have been distributed to date. For more information on the e-TALC project please visit Also, a break down of global distribution statistics of the e-TALC CD-ROM can be viewed at

Competing interests declared: I work for TALC, the organisation set up by Professor David Morley. This response aims to provide further information on the e-TALC CD-ROM project.
