Before even handling any data at all students should be required to prove competence in handling personal information. There are huge concerns in Uk about often seemingly casual mishandling of sensitive, personal information; the latest being Camden Primary Care Trust,reported yesterday in the Independant, thousands of people have had their security breached again. It happens all the time in the NHS despite warnings from the Information Commissioner that individual personnel must take responsibility for safeguarding trust .
